The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area near Kaprun offers 100% snow-assuredness from October to May, extensive open glacier slopes, high Alpine freeride and ski tour routes close to the lifts, world class snow parks and quite literally ‘Freedom at 3000 metres’ – the Kitzsteinhorn. Since December 2019 the most state-of-the-art cable car in the world – the new 3K K-onnection – has linked the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski area with the gentle family mountain, the Maiskogel and the centre of Kaprun creating one inspiring union and providing even more convenient access to the world of winter sport.
